# Messaging for teenagers that parents can actually agree to

> The screen blocks ten specific things and nothing else. A teenager can read that list in ten seconds and decide it is fair.

## Who this is for

13–17 year olds and the adults deciding what they are allowed to use.

## The problem

Every app a parent approves of is socially dead, and every app the teenager wants is moderated only after something bad has already arrived.

## How Naven handles it

- Messages are screened before they send — the twelve categories are published, and harassment and solicitation are stopped rather than reported.
- Slurs and strong language do not send, and the reason is shown to whoever wrote it. Disagreements, insults and dark humour are not screened, so it does not feel like a supervised playground.
- No public directory, so strangers cannot search for and message a teenager.
- Parents get a real answer about safety without reading their child's messages.

## What it costs

Nothing. Naven is free, with no advertising, no paid tier and no data sale. There is no card, no trial and no phone number.
