Can a teacher use Naven for a class?
Yes, usually as a channel per class or club, joined by a link. It runs on school Chromebooks because there is nothing to install, and every message is screened before it is delivered.
A channel is the right shape for a class: it has a link, so students join without the teacher adding them one at a time, and history is readable by somebody who joins late.
What Naven does not have is a gradebook, an assignment workflow or a roster integration — it is a messaging platform rather than a learning management system, and it is not trying to replace one.
Naven's commitments about student data are published rather than badged. It does not display compliance certifications it does not hold, which is worth checking for in any tool a school is considering.
