Naven for schools, districts and organizations
One place for your people to message, call and follow what matters — in the browser they already have, on a school Chromebook, a family laptop or a phone. With parent consent handled, a signed data agreement, and nothing sold.

Why organizations choose Naven
Nothing to install
It runs in any modern browser, including managed Chromebooks. No app store, no phone number, and no new password: people sign in with the email address they already have.
Accounts set up for you
Naven can create accounts for your people, each with a temporary password the person replaces the first time they sign in. No personal phone numbers or personal email addresses needed.
Children under 13, handled properly
Under-13 accounts cannot message until a parent's consent is verified. For accounts you create for your own students, your school can give that consent under your agreement with Naven.
Screening before delivery
Every message is screened automatically before it is sent, with stricter rules for younger members. It is automated and makes mistakes, so it supports your policies rather than replacing them.
Parent controls that last
Parents get their own page to pause an account, limit contacts, calls, AI and daily time, see who their child talks to, and delete the account — never reading the messages themselves.
Reports and a record
Members can report a message or a person from inside the app. Naven keeps a history of every warning, suspension and lift, and who made each one.
Channels and news
Announcement channels your members can follow, and a weekly email briefing of what they published.
No advertising, no data sale
Naven shows no ads, sells no data, builds no advertising profiles and does not train AI on messages. Ever.
Built for the rules schools work under
- FERPA — under a signed agreement, Naven acts as a school official with a legitimate educational interest, under your direct control, and deletes student data when you ask. How Naven handles student data.
- COPPA — verifiable parental consent by signed form, or school consent for school-created accounts; parents can review and delete. Children's privacy notice.
- California SOPIPA and Education Code 49073.1 — no targeted advertising, no profiling, no sale, deletion on request, in the agreement.
- Canada (FIPPA, MFIPPA) — Naven supports your privacy impact assessment and says plainly that data is stored in the United States.
- A data processing agreement ready to sign — read the template — or your state's standard agreement.
See exactly how Naven meets each of these.
How a partnership works
- Tell us about your organization with the form below. A person replies, usually within two business days.
- We agree the terms together — what you need, how many people, and a written agreement that fits your organization. Terms are agreed per organization; there is no price list.
- Sign the data agreement — Naven's, or the one your district already uses.
- Launch — accounts, channels and parent consent set up with you, and a named contact for anything after.
