Privacy policy
The document in which a service states what it collects, why, and who else sees it.
Most are written to be legally safe rather than informative, which is why almost nobody reads them. The tell is vagueness in the places that matter: "we may share information with partners" describes everything and nothing.
A useful one names the data, names the purpose, names the third parties, and states the retention period — and is specific enough that it could be wrong, which is what makes it worth anything.
Where Naven stands
Naven's is deliberately detailed and deliberately unflattering in places: it states that there is no expectation of privacy or security, because the service is screened and run by one person. A policy that only contains good news is not a policy.
