How to use Naven where Google is blocked
Naven routes its traffic through its own domain rather than calling Google's servers directly, so a network that blocks Google does not break the product.
Step by step

Just open navenapp.com
The relay is automatic. Nothing has to be turned on.

Sign in with an emailed code
Not with Google. A Google sign-in popup has to open a Google page, and that cannot be relayed.

Everything else works as normal
Messages, channels and calls do not depend on reachable Google domains.
Worth knowing
- The only domain that has to be reachable is navenapp.com itself.
- If navenapp.com is the thing being blocked, there is nothing Naven can or should do about it.
- Google sign-in is the one route that cannot work this way. The code route is the default anyway.
Questions
Does Naven work in China?
Where navenapp.com is reachable, yes. Traffic that would otherwise go to Google's domains is routed through Naven's own.
Why does Google sign-in not work there?
It has to open a page on a Google domain, which cannot be proxied. Use the emailed code instead.
Do I need a VPN?
Not for the Google-domain problem. Naven handles that itself.
