Channel
A persistent space people join by link, rather than a conversation somebody adds them to.
Channels scale where group chats do not. The link does the inviting, history is readable by people who arrive late, and membership is fluid without anybody administering it message by message. It is the shape Slack, Discord and Telegram all converged on for groups above a certain size.
The risk is the same link: anybody who has it can join, so sharing it is granting access.
Where Naven stands
Naven channels are created with a name and an emoji and joined by link. A private channel's link carries a secret, so only people sent it can get in.
