Appeal
Asking a platform to reconsider a decision it made about you.
The usual version is a form, an automated acknowledgement, and silence. It exists so the platform can say there is a process, and most people who are wrongly actioned never use it — the effort is high and the expected return is low, which is the design.
A real appeal has three properties: the person is told what rule they broke, in words, at the time; the review is done by something other than whatever made the original decision; and the outcome arrives without being chased.
Where Naven stands
Naven reviews refusals without being asked. A separate model reads every block against the published policy each hour and withdraws the ones that do not hold up, so the common case needs no appeal at all.
