Password
A secret you type to prove who you are.
The oldest and weakest of the common methods, mostly because of reuse: a password chosen for a small site is usually one already used on a large one, and breaches are pooled and replayed. Length beats complexity, and a manager beats memory.
The security of a password is largely decided by what else it protects.
Where Naven stands
Naven does not issue passwords for new accounts. Accounts set up by an organisation start with a temporary one and are made to choose their own before anything opens.
