Age verification
Establishing how old somebody is.
The unsolved problem of online safety. Self-declaration is trivially bypassed; document checks exclude people without documents and create a database worth stealing; inference from behaviour is invasive and wrong often enough to matter.
Most regimes settle for a declared age plus a duty to act on contrary evidence.
Where Naven stands
Naven asks for an age at sign-up and stores the band only, never the birth year — enough to set the protection level, not enough to identify anybody.
