A robotics team's build season, in one place

Build season is a hundred small dependencies held by teenagers on school Chromebooks that will not install anything. A browser link works on all of them.

Who this is for

School and club teams running a build season across mentors, students and parents on whatever devices they own.

How it is usually set up

A channel per sub-team, a shared checklist for the parts that have to be done before competition, and calls when somebody has to see the problem rather than read about it.

What Naven does not claim

Naven promises no security and no moderation. Messages are screened before they send against twelve published categories, by automated software — it misses things, and it is weaker in languages other than English. Calls are not screened at all. Naven is not end-to-end encrypted, which is what makes screening possible; anyone whose first requirement is end-to-end encryption should use Signal.

What it costs

Nothing. Naven is free, with no advertising, no paid tier and no data sale.

Naven is a free messenger that runs in your browser. No phone number, nothing to install, and no new password.
