1. Messages are screened before they send — the ten categories are published, and harassment and solicitation are stopped rather than reported.
2. Slurs and strong language do not send, and the reason is shown to whoever wrote it. Disagreements, insults and dark humour are not screened, so it does not feel like a supervised playground.
3. No public directory, so strangers cannot search for and message a teenager.
4. Parents get a real answer about safety without reading their child's messages.
